When: July 1992 to September 1998
Circumstance: Curiously enough I have only met Elvis at times in my life when I have been facing an important decision or crossroads. I first encountered him in a pub by Dover station in the summer of 1992. He identified himself as "Joe" and said he worked as a builder. Obviously he couldn't give his true identity, but he was definitely Elvis. Over the next five years I saw him on several other times in pubs around Dover and on one ocassion beat him at pool. The last time I saw him was in "The Prince Albert" pub in September 1999, a few days before I left the town to get married.

Circumstance: We were chillin on rollerskates. And Elvis road by in a shopping cart that was being pushed by his son-in-law, Michael Jackson. He had just left the Piggly Wiggly grocery store(that's why he was in a cart). He ran over my friend Selia and so she just got out of physical thearapy and has had plastic surgery from Michael's surgean.

Circumstance: Elvis had just left the local bakery and was walking down Houghton Avenue, when a customer of the Rau Tavern came up to him and told him he was the worst Elvis impersonator around. At that Elvis went into the Tavern, sat down and ate one dozen jelly doughnuts and washed them down with a pitcher of beer. He lives!!!!

Circumstance: I was sitting in a downtown café, when Elvis dashed out of the toilet. Me and my friend noticed a distinct smell of an unmentionable smell as he passed our table by. For a while we just sat there stunned by both disgust and fascination. After a while we started to discuss what we witnessed, my friend pointed out that he elvis looked dead. We concluded that the smell must have been flesh decomposing in combination with a lack of available soap in the toilet.

Circumstance: It was below some neon lights downtown. Why he wasn't on the strip was not apparent until I had a few words with him. He wanted to be on the strip but it is just too risky. This way he can be in Vegas and not take the chance of being discovered. I didn't want to talk too long with him so I left quickly. His last words before I left and continued to sweep up the rugs around the slots was, "dank bare muh".

Circumstance: I was working another hot and sweaty day at Ocala Tire Service. It was just about closing time when this guy pulls up in a beat up Freightliner. He said he had a load of hog jowls he had to get to Tennessee by midnight, but needed a couple 11R-22.5 recaps to get him on his way. It was then that I recognzed him. It was the King--long haul truck driver. He had a skull shifter knob and some panties hanging from the headliner. I told the King that we could take care of him in a flash. We got him back on the road in no time flat. Wonder if he ever got those hog jowls delivered?
